You’ll be a solicitor conducting clinical negligence claims on behalf of a range of defendant clients and in particular acting for NHS Resolution. You’ll work in a team that provides a range of high quality legal services on complex matters. You may also have the opportunity to become involved with healthcare inquest and advisory work. What does the role actually involve? Delivering exceptional client service, including proactive, strategic and commercial management of claims Managing your own caseload including supporting on high value and complex claims in accordance with client requirements and SLAs Delegation and supervision of tasks to more junior fee earners where appropriate Providing responsive secondment support to key clients – remotely and on site Undertaking legal research, advising on the implications of new statutes, regulations, directives and case law Undertaking business development activities, including the planning and delivery of relevant seminar and training programmes in person and online What technical skills are required for someone to be successful and enjoy the role? Familiarity with IT (Microsoft Office), and ideally with experience of appropriate case management systems Familiarity with online and library research facilities Attention to detail with the ability to explain/advise clients on complex technical aspects of process and procedure Clinical negligence experience – defendant/claimant or catastrophic personal injury experience Experience in inquest or healthcare advisory work an advantage Who would be a good fit for this role?
