We're seeking a talented and ambitious software engineer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid role. As a junior-to-mid-level engineer, you'll have the chance to develop your skills in a challenging and supportive environment. Our senior engineers will provide guidance and mentorship, helping you grow both technically and professionally. Your Role Work as part of the team building Anaplan’s next generation calculation engine, owning features from conception to deployment to production. Contribute to the implementation of software, including components for managing communication between client and server, server components for importing and exporting data, recalculation and management of data structures, reading and writing from and to persistent storage. Write documents to record design specifications and implementation details. Write automated tests. Own the delivery of your component from commit through to production, proactively contributing to improvements in this process. Provide technical support for operational systems. Your Qualifications A strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality software, with a proactive approach to testing, debugging, and continuous improvement. In-depth knowledge of algorithms and data structures. A strong understanding of Object-Oriented (OO) concepts. A passion for applying DevOps to make projects run faster and smoother by automating key steps and improving operational efficiency and standardisation. Bonus Points Experience with Kotlin or Rust. An understanding of functional programming principles and concepts. Experience in language design and compiler implementation. Experience working with containers and container-orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP or Azure.
