ABOUT THE COMPANY My client is a privately owned, dynamic Civil and Structural Consultancy that is looking to grow in Manchester and across the North-West Region and is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to assist with our ambitious growth plans. SKILLS REQUIRED Willingness to understand and engage in multiple technical disciplines; Drive to help the company expand; Ability to communicate openly and clearly with colleagues, clients and third parties; Taking personal responsibility and pride for high-quality work delivery and being organised to ensure deadlines are met; Demonstrating a passion for engineering; Comfortable within a hardworking and supportive team environment; Ability to problem solve in a high-performance environment; Ability to continually learn, develop, and support the development of others. RESPONSIBILITIES Solving engineering problems; Familiarity with design guides and standards; Knowledge of the designer's responsibilities under CDM (2015); Identify and manage risks within your area of responsibility; Supporting other team members in their technical development; Attending site visits to review project constraints and the construction process proactively; Leading and managing the delivery of appropriate projects, liaising with clients and third parties; Capable of presenting and discussing technical solutions with technical and non-technical parties; Internal project management including resource planning and financial control; Identifying and responding to project commercial risks and opportunities; Developing fee proposals and project cost estimates; Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients; Investing in personal development.
