In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing and consolidating relationships across Arcadis and our client base, managing the technical delivery and design outputs of some of the UK's most complex and stimulating projects in the Water sector.The role would sit within our Resilience Global Business Area, where we work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. The rate at which were seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. We are here to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations.Role accountabilities: Ability to work independently and as a team member carrying out production and checking complex mechanical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings. Supporting and / or Leading design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations and ancillary assets. Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design or Technical Lead capacity where assigned, using latest digital design techniques. Identify and develop innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers. Lead and co-ordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA) Establish and grow relationships with clients and partners on project technical, commercial and progress matters. Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives. Line management, mentoring, and performance development responsibility for assigned staff. Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other directly related degree. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IMechE, IET, or CIWEM Significant experience in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design Team leader with collaborative behaviours Desired: Water and/or wastewater experience
