Associate Vicar

St Stephen's Church, Tonbridge, England, United Kingdom Description of Job St Stephen’s Tonbridge is a large and active evangelical church, which has a vision to grow. We are looking to appoint an Associate Vicar to join us at a particularly exciting time, as we approach the 2nd year of our 5-year strategy and are part of a strategic bid by the Diocese to help the church to grow younger. We are offering: A leading role in developing a worshipping community of young adults and families. Inclusion in services and pastoral care across the wider congregation. Involvement in the future development of our strategic plan. The support of a committed and friendly staff and volunteer team. The opportunity to become part of the local community in a popular area of Kent, with easy access to London and the countryside and a range of good and outstanding schools. We are looking for someone with: A heart for encouraging discipleship and spreading the gospel to younger adults. An understanding of and experience in building relationships with this age group. An interest in working with others to develop and lead a new worshipping community. Experience of working with volunteers in building, inspiring, leading and equipping teams. The desire to work collaboratively as part of the wider staff team. The management experience to successfully oversee and co-ordinate those areas of ministry relating to young adults and their families, as part of the leadership team.
