We're a national law firm with a local reach. Our philosophy is 'we're legal and financial experts that care' - something you'll find in the way we work with our clients and how we support our teams. But we're more than just a law firm - we're a team of people working together to help individuals and businesses navigate life's ups and downs. Working here you'll feel a part of our friendly and inclusive environment.

We're always looking to support our colleagues to work in a way that works best for them and everyone else, including our clients, the business and the regulators.

We are looking for a Serious Injury Claimant Solicitor with a strong reputation within East Anglia. The role would be aligned to our Cambridge office with hybrid working available. You will be expected to make a significant contribution to business development as we strengthen our profile and develop our market leading team in these regions. Key to the role therefore will be the ability to build business and generate growth.

Your Role

You will be responsible for enhancing the team's profile in and generating growth from the East Anglia market.

You'll work closely with clients providing them with exceptional legal advice to achieve the best possible resolution for them. You'll be a key member of the Serious Injury team and regularly contribute to area meetings, ensuring your team objectives are being met.

As an experienced solicitor within Serious Injury, you'll have the opportunity to train and mentor others in your team, and we'll provide you with the support and direction to help you do this.

About You

We're looking for an Associate/Senior Associate, who has demonstrable strengths in business development, relationship building, networking and work generation within serious injury. Our ideal candidate will have the following:

A qualified Solicitor with a current Practising Certificate

Ambition, energy and enthusiasm for serious injury litigation

Empathy and compassion to help guide our clients through challenging personal circumstances

An aptitude for business development and a passion for growing strong client and referrer relationships

An established reputation within the East Anglia markets for example recognition by APIL, Legal 500 or Chambers

Experience within multi-track Serious Injury claims, ideally with experience in head / spinal cord and / or amputation injuries

If this sounds like you and you want to join a thriving team hit the apply button below for consideration!

Our Benefits - What We Can Offer You

25 days holidays as standard plus bank holidays - You can 'buy' up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.

Generous and flexible pension schemes.

Volunteering days - Two days of volunteering every year for a cause of your choice (fully paid)

Westfield Health membership, offering refunds on medical services alongside our Aviva Digital GP services.

We also offer a wide range of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace and to make sure you're fully supported. This includes our Flexible by Choice programme which gives our colleagues more choice over a hybrid way of working subject to role, team and client requirements.

Irwin Mitchell LLP is an equal opportunity employer.
