Senior Audio Visual Technician Based in Royston Salary £35k - £40k We at Urus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior Audio Visual Technician to work for one of our clients based in Royston. This role requires you to be a competent and experienced Senior Audio Visual Technician who is comfortable preparing, operating and maintaining our range of AV equipment. Responsibilities and Duties

On-site support for projects of all sizes - including the technical rig, client liaison, rehearsals, show operation etc. Actively provide training and share knowledge to all colleagues. Represent the company whilst onsite as a point of contact for the client. Work with the project management team to determine what is required and how it will be delivered effectively and professionally to fulfil our clients’ requirements. Preparation of equipment prior to dispatch. Assist in planning and pre-event testing (where required) of full AV systems. Occasional delivery and collection of equipment. Dealing with customer dry hire collections and returns. Assisting with Management of rental stock. Reporting missing items and damages. Working with the management team to ensure our equipment inventory lists are accurate and kept up to date. Provide technical support to the warehouse team. Maintain company standards and methods when working with freelance crew. Simple maintenance and servicing of company equipment. Covering quick turnarounds – evenings and weekends as and when required. Promote the business at all times. About You

Have a passion for all things AV including lighting, sound, video, graphics and IT. Have a minimum of 3 – 5 years’ live events experience as an events technician in the Audio Visual industry. Possess a fundamental understanding of audio visual technical equipment and connectivity. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Work as part of a team as well as individually. Have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, while being flexible to the needs of the client and business. Have excellent interpersonal communication skills. Be sufficiently acceptant and mobile to travel as required within the UK, Europe and beyond. Demonstrate a positive attitude to instruction and learning. Be open to widening your skillsets. Be highly motivated and positive, even in adversity. Have a full clean UK driving licence. Be eligible to work in the UK. If you have the skills and experience, please apply now.
