Audit & Accounts Manager required for this friendly and well-respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors. The firm has maintained an impressive reputation for their excellent client service within a friendly and down-to-earth work environment. Interest is welcomed from those currently at Audit Manager, Assistant Manager, or recently qualified level to join the team, with remit adjustments offered to suit the right individual.

Working on a hybrid basis (2-3 days per week in the office), you will have both audit and accounting responsibilities for a client portfolio predominantly from charity and not-for-profit sectors. Reporting to the Director, you will play a key role in supporting and mentoring junior members of the team, assisting them with their own professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing audits from planning through to completion Acting as key point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication with audit team Preparing financial statements Preparing draft corporate tax computations and self-assessment tax returns for individuals to be reviewed by tax colleagues Managing trainees, ensuring work is completed on time Maintaining your technical and commercial knowledge Involvement with ad hoc client and team projects

Ideally, you will be a qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA) with UK External Audit experience gained within accountancy practice. Experience of working with charity clients is essential. Accounts preparation and tax experience is not essential; however, whilst this role offers a good balance of audit and accounting work, accommodations can be made for those seeking a 100% audit remit if preferred. You will be an excellent communicator, with a demonstrable ability to develop strong client relationships.

Salary will be offered depending on experience, starting from £41,000 + Benefits + Hybrid working. Applications are also welcome from those returning to practice from industry or seeking a more flexible working pattern. Unfortunately, UK visa sponsorship is not available for this vacancy.
