Your new company - A firm which is always on the lookout for like-minded people to bring new skills and experience to their team. A 4-office Southeast ICAEW, Xero platinum service, Sage accredited accountancy practice. - Located within 10 minutes’ walk from Basingstoke, they are actively seeking an Audit Accounts Manager to manage a small accounts team and a client portfolio. The role involves regular client engagement with progression to Senior Manager and Director level. Your new role - Manage, motivate and co-ordinate a team of Audit/Accounts professionals across 3 offices. - Prepare and review accounts production for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, to ensure the Audit/Accounts compliance cycle is completed on time each year to meet internal, client, and statutory deadlines. - Plan, manage, and review audit engagements to ensure compliance with Clarified ISAs. Liaise with RI over key issues and ensure effective audit completion. - Produce and review (where necessary) Companies House forms and statutory changes. - Mentor, train, and develop audit and accounts staff to enable them to pass professional accountancy examinations and provide them with the practical application and support required to use their formal training. - Work with outsourcing, payroll, and tax department colleagues on Audit/Accounts related issues and develop cross-departmental working opportunities. What you'll need to succeed - Qualified with a recognised Audit/Accounts qualification (ICAEW or ACCA) or qualified by experience. - 5+ years of account preparation experience and 2+ years of experience of review of account preparation work. - Excellent oral and written communication skills to produce clear and concise factual findings. - Flexible and adaptable to regulatory and business changes. - Self-motivated, quick thinking, and keen to show initiative. - Experience of leading and managing audit teams.
