Our client, a well-established and respected accountancy practice based in Chelmsford, is seeking an Audit & Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment. The role involves a mix of audit and accounts work, providing exposure to a variety of clients across different sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the planning and execution of audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including preparation of audit documentation and reports. Preparation of year-end financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards. Working with senior auditors to complete audits efficiently and within deadlines. Preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships, acting as a point of contact for day-to-day queries. Managing your own workload, ensuring that assignments are completed to a high standard and on time. Identifying areas for improvements in audit processes and suggesting ideas to improve efficiency.

Requirements: Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of audit processes and accounting principles. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike. Proficient in using accountancy software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
