Audit & Accounts Senior
in our
Croydon
office. The role is split approximately 70/30 between audit and non-audit assignments. A varied role, we are able to offer career progression and the ability to be involved in other areas including consultancy and advisory services. Key responsibilities of an Audit & Accounts Senior will include: Working within a team on the firm's larger audits for both corporate and not-for-profit clients Dealing with client queries and overseeing the work of junior colleagues Overseeing smaller audits reporting directly to partner Preparation of financial statements, both for audit and non-audit clients About you: We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: ACA / ACCA Qualified Minimum of 3 years audit experience in an accountancy practice Up to date with current auditing and accounting issues and conversant with relevant auditing and accounting standards, company law etc. Good tax knowledge, in particular corporation tax. An awareness of VAT and payroll taxes advantageous. Confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral You have developed good client liaison skills and work well as part of a team Analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to think laterally to be capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions Show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish Experience of working on a wide range of clients (some FCA experience would be beneficial) Computer literate including good Excel experience. A working knowledge of CCH and Pro-audit would be an advantage. Experience or knowledge of the Mercia audit methodology would also be helpful.
