We are looking to appoint a full-time Audit and Performance Officer to support the work of the Safeguarding Quality Assurance Service with Adult Care and Wellbeing, Sheffield City Council.

Team members work in a hybrid style and remote working is an option available; Howden House is the base when working from the office.

The Safeguarding Quality Assurance Service sits within the Office of the Chief Social Worker and supports governance, learning, and training within Adult Care and Wellbeing.

The team provides strategic oversight on behalf of Adult Care and Wellbeing of learning from Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR), Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHR), and Drug and Alcohol Related Deaths (DARD), and supports emerging themes from practice.

The Audit and Performance Officer will work closely with the Practice Development Officers in the development and implementation of key learning priorities and support the Directorate's requirement to moderate Safeguarding audits completed by Team Managers.

The Audit and Performance Officer is responsible for the collection and reporting on SARs, DHRs, DARDs as well as monitoring overall performance data within Adult Care and Wellbeing.

They will need to work collaboratively with their manager and colleagues to coordinate, develop, assist, review, measure, and evaluate the service information and data.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting Adult Care and Wellbeing's function in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness in the following areas: Establish effective links with all relevant local services, including regional and national partners to support information sharing and provision of data. Seek out, collect, and analyze data and information from secondary sources, including setting up databases, spreadsheets, statistical and policy analysis, presentation, and briefings. Identify at an early stage any issues and barriers to good practice framework and work with their manager/the team to find solutions. Provide written reports and presentations on progress to the relevant Sheffield Adult Safeguarding Partnership Board (SASPB) groups and internal Sheffield City Council meetings related to Adult Safeguarding. Respond to multi-agency audits and reviews, including data entry, analysis and interpretation, documentation presentation, and dissemination of learning. Develop guidance and support the dissemination of learning through Sheffield City Council, Adult Care and Wellbeing. Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time, or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
