An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
SEND Lead
to take on the role of
Interim SEND Audit and Review Case Officer Lead
within a South West Local Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the audit and review processes to ensure the quality and compliance of EHC needs assessments and annual reviews. About the Role: Conduct an initial assessment within the first month to establish the current status of EHC needs assessments and plan quality. Identify gaps in practice for individual children/young people and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. Report to the SEND Improvement Lead on a weekly basis. Present findings and recommendations to panels such as the High Cost Panel or Preparing for Adulthood Panel. Take on complex casework to resolve individual plans when necessary. Utilize the Synergy system effectively (training provided if required). About You: Proven experience as a SEND Lead with a strong track record. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
