Responsibilities:

As the Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the audit department's operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services. Your key responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:

Leading and managing a team of audit professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of audit engagements. Taking ownership of audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and regulatory requirements. Conducting risk assessments and developing comprehensive audit plans tailored to each client's specific needs and circumstances. Overseeing the preparation and review of audit workpapers, financial statements, and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact and addressing any audit-related queries or concerns. Collaborating with other departments to offer integrated service solutions and identify opportunities for cross-selling firm services. Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting and auditing standards to enhance audit methodologies. Participating in the recruitment, training, and development of audit team members to foster a high-performing and motivated workforce. Requirements:

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant post-qualification experience in audit within a reputable accountancy practice. Proven experience in managing and leading audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, including private companies and not-for-profit organizations. In-depth knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards, with a strong commitment to maintaining technical proficiency. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team of audit professionals. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and stakeholders at all levels. A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering top-tier client service. Proficiency in using audit software and MS Office suite.
