Depending on your experience, it could be
100% Audit
or
80% Audit, 20% Accounts & Corporate Tax —a varied role that keeps things interesting. Leading smaller audits
– Taking responsibility for end-to-end audit engagements, from planning to completion. Building technical expertise
– Working across different industries and risk profiles, using software like CaseWare and Data Snipper. Hands-on experience
– Conducting detailed audit testing, risk assessments, and financial analysis. Client interaction
– Acting as a key contact for assigned clients, responding to queries, and managing expectations. Supporting junior staff
– Reviewing work, providing feedback, and mentoring assistants. Occasional statutory accounts preparation
– Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102. Corporate tax computations
– Assisting with tax compliance for audit clients. With a diverse client base—including

This role is perfect for someone who is already in an
audit position within a practice environment , but wants
better progression, more variety, and a stronger work-life balance . ACA part-qualified (Certificate Level completed, working towards Professional Level). At least 1 year of audit experience in a UK practice – Comfortable with audit processes and financial statements. Strong technical skills – Familiar with audit testing, balance sheet/profit & loss analysis, and risk assessments. Client-facing experience – Able to build and maintain professional relationships. Team player – Enjoys mentoring and supporting junior team members. IT confident – Comfortable using Excel, CCH, CaseWare, and client software like Xero and QuickBooks.
