Applicants must be either CA, ACA or ACCA qualified and be able to display a commercially minded and organised approach to client work. You will become a key part of a growing team, which provides a wide range of audit, advisory and accounting services to a huge range of diverse clients including but not limited to landed estates, charities, owner-managed businesses and FCA regulated entities. Our Audit Senior Associates: Project manage and drive forwards the audit and accounting process, including liaising directly with senior individuals in clients’ finance teams. Get actively involved in every aspect of the audit process, taking ownership of planning, fieldwork, and the completion on audit engagements, working closely with managers and partners. Have the opportunity to get involved in the direction and overall running of the team. There may also be opportunities to work on ad hoc projects e.g, department or firmwide working groups and client advisory work. Our Audit Senior Associates are often given the opportunity to manage a small portfolio of jobs, which helps you to develop the next stage of your career progression. We will also consider applications from candidates that are due to fully qualify in the next few months. The Team Our Edinburgh team provide tailor made services, including accounting, audit and assurance, tax, corporate finance and business advisory, for all aspects of our clients’ lives. We advise on both their personal and business affairs, as well as assisting at all phases of wealth generation, preservation and succession. Our Edinburgh office is home to 5 partners and over 60 staff. These are exciting times for the local office with the recent move to modern, purpose-built office space in November 2024. Based in Haymarket Square, the location is within walking distance of the city centre with easy access to bus, tram and national rail services. You The successful candidate will be expected to have responsibility for leading a range of audits. You will be responsible for supervising and coaching the work of more junior staff and liaising with tax staff, partners and clients. The role will provide a good range of work for someone with solid technical skills and a background of audit work, wishing to build on their experience in a fast-growing office that will provide opportunities for progression. Qualifications and Skills: CA, ACA or ACCA qualified. Strong audit experience, including planning and completion. Excellent communication skills. Client-focused with a keen sense of commerciality. Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and Word, and familiarity with CCH accounts and audit automation (preferred). Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting and auditing standards. Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressured environment. Proactive nature and a strong team player.
