You will play a key role in supporting the audit department management team and principals, overseeing and carrying out audits and accounting tasks both in the office and on client premises. Key Performance Areas: Conducting accounting processes and controls to ensure accurate information production, while maintaining proper documentation for audit trails. Providing guidance on and ensuring the adoption of appropriate accounting practices in financial reporting. Offering technical expertise to design solutions for complex accounting issues. Preparing statutory financial statements for limited companies. Preparing accounts for partnerships and sole traders. Filing annual returns and PSC confirmation statements with Companies House. Supervising and supporting junior team members as needed. Liaising with clients and HMRC. Managing a portfolio of clients, depending on experience. Maintaining and developing client relationships through written communication and face-to-face meetings. Carrying out other ad hoc tasks as required by the business. Requirements: Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice. Experience in delivering external audit and accounting services, with exposure to a range of clients in various sectors and sizes. Knowledge of software such as ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, and Xero is beneficial but not essential.
