At RSM we are committed to helping you develop your career and encourage existing employees to apply for internal vacancies. Please speak with your line manager and notify them of your intention.

Make an Impact at RSM UK As part of RSM’s commitment to continually innovate in technology-enabled solutions for our clients, we are seeking a new system owner for our market-leading proprietary audit technology system. Developed entirely in-house by our specialist software development team, the audit system is a vital technology tool for our growing audit practice. At its core is a working papers solution which our auditors use to manage and organise their audit work, and for audit responsible individuals to review and sign-off audit work. However, it is also a platform for delivering technology innovation into our audit business, for instance through data analytics and integration with our client portal. We are seeking someone from an audit background but with a keen interest in technology to take over the role of system owner for our audit technology system. Ideally, we are seeking someone with experience of software product ownership; however, the role may equally suit a qualified auditor who is seeking a career change into technology management and leadership. Your role will be to own the product roadmap for the audit technology system, working closely with our audit teams to define the future requirements for the system both to ensure regulatory and accounting standard compliance and to deliver innovation and productivity enhancements into our audit practice through the adoption of digital capabilities such as process automation, advanced analytics, and machine learning. You will make an impact by: Liaising with auditors to define and own the product strategy and roadmap for the audit technology system. Collaborating with stakeholders, including audit professionals, developers, and other cross-functional teams, to gather and prioritise requirements. Working with the senior developer to develop and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and prioritised based on business value and customer needs. Working closely with the development team to ensure that features are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.

What we are looking for: We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate: A deep understanding of assurance/audit processes and the needs of assurance/audit professionals. A strong interest in technology in the assurance and audit context. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and to deliver clear progress updates. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. What we can offer you: We recognise that our people are our most important assets. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package that will help you have a fulfilling experience, both in and out of work. Study Support Hybrid and Flexible working 27 Days Holiday with the option of purchasing additional days Lifestyle, Health, and Wellbeing including financial wellbeing benefits such as financial tools, electric car scheme, and access to a virtual GP. Access to a suite of 300+ courses on demand developed by our in-house Talent Development team.
