A second personal assistant is required to support a young lady in enabling her to access her local community for 5 hours per week, taking place over the weekend. With a diagnosis of a Learning Disability, Autism, ADHD, and global developmental delay, this late teenage woman can present with some challenging and sometimes inappropriate behaviour. Responsibilities
Support the client in accessing the community. Work alongside another personal assistant. Guide the teenager to enjoy activities and make good choices. Transport the client and colleague to places of interest. Requirements
Patience and tolerance. Strong sense of self. Driving license and own vehicle insured for business use. Physically fit and enjoy the outdoors. Relevant experience in care or similar roles. About the Client
This young girl has a fantastic sense of humour, is caring, and loves art, gardening, English Heritage sites (particularly Belsay Hall), castles, and adventure playgrounds.
