MAIN DUTIES We are looking to recruit a support worker for this young lady to enable her to access age-appropriate community and leisure activities. Due to her diagnosis, she can sometimes find it difficult to engage, so we are looking for an encouraging and enthusiastic support worker to assist her with taking part in her hobbies. Once you get to know her and build up a relationship, she has a great sense of humour and enjoys spending time out in the community.
You should have some experience of supporting people with autism and ideally people with sensory needs. She likes routines, and we would like her to be able to incorporate a routine of going out into the community regularly to gain confidence and spend time away from the family unit.
