£13.09/hr (FTE - £25.5k) Hours:

4 hours per week We are currently looking to recruit a Support Worker to provide support for an 18-year-old young woman. The purpose of your role will be to enable her independence and support her in participating in activities she enjoys. You will mostly support her out in the community. We would ideally like someone who has similar interests, such as a love of animals, going to the theatre, music, art, drawing, as well as going for walks and enjoying coffee. This young woman is non-verbal and has her own way of communicating her needs, which you will learn as you build up the relationship. She is quite isolated, so enabling her to take part in activities out in the community and meet new people will make a real difference to her well-being. You should have good general health as part of your role will be supporting her mobility when out and about; she uses crutches, and you will need to ensure her safety at all times. You should ideally be a non-smoker/vaper. It will be an advantage, though not essential, if you have experience or knowledge of neurodiversity and how it can affect people. We would also like our support worker to be proactive in suggesting activities to do in the community. We prefer you to be a car driver with your own transport. Expenses will be met by your employer.
