Our schools in Sheffield are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team and provide tailored educational support to students with autism, helping them thrive both academically and personally. As an Autism Specialist Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering personalised education plans, fostering students' social and emotional development, and promoting a positive and engaging learning experience. The Role: As an Autism Specialist Teacher, you will work closely with students across a range of abilities and needs. Your key responsibilities will include: Personalised Learning:

Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with autism, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively. Progress Monitoring:

Regularly assess and track student progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues, and adjusting learning plans as needed. Social and Emotional Support:

Create a supportive and structured environment that encourages students to develop confidence, resilience, and social skills. Collaboration:

Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to each student s education. Behaviour Management:

Implement effective strategies to support positive behaviour and address challenges in a constructive and supportive manner. Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching students with autism. • In-depth understanding of autism and strategies to support students effectively. • Empathy, patience, and a passion for working with students with additional needs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. • Experience in planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.
