Position: Auto Electrician Salary: 42,500 Per Annum Location: Bicester Hours: Mon-Thurs, (phone number removed)pm Reports To: Production Line Manager Purpose of Post: Proactive are currently in search of multiple skilled Vehicle Installation/Auto Electricians to start work immediately in Bicester. You will be responsible for the installation and testing of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specifications, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to. Key Tasks: Responsible for compliance with the company's health and safety policy and procedures, ensuring workshop policies are adhered to. Ensure that work carried out meets the agreed quality standards and that all quality sign-offs and procedures are complied with. Ensure that the vehicle electrical control system is installed according to the specification requirements detailed in the relevant documentation. Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation. Terminate various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC. Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation. Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software. Ensure that the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time. Be prepared to work overtime when requested by management. Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes, including the training of others. General Responsibilities: Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain the utmost level of confidentiality. Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. Treat all individuals courteously and respectfully in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure. Adhere to and promote the Equal Opportunities Policy throughout your employment. Maintain high standards of personal accountability. Follow training received when using any provided work items. Co-operate with others on health and safety and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for health, safety, or welfare. Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by your actions. Comply with the no smoking policy. Be prepared to stay away from home on occasions to meet the requirements of the role. Complete basic administrative tasks, filling in company forms or documents, WMPs. Ensure that your work area is maintained in a safe and tidy manner.
