Purpose of Post: Responsible for the installation and test of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specification, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to. Key Tasks: Responsible for the compliance with the company's health and safety policy and procedures ensuring the workshop policies are being adhered to. Ensure that work carried out is to the Wrightbus agreed quality standard and ensure that all such quality sign offs, and procedures are complied with. Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation. Responsible for the installation and modification of vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation. Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC. Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation. Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software. Ensure that the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time. Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management. Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others. General: Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality. Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. Treat those with whom you come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure. Maintain high standards of personal accountability. Follow the training received when using any work items Wrightbus has provided. Co-operate with others on health and safety and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for their health, safety, or welfare. Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do). Comply with the no smoking policy. Staying away from home on occasions will be necessary to meet the requirements of the role. Complete basic administrative tasks, filling in company forms or documents, WMPs. Ensure that your work area is maintained in a safe and tidy manner. Specification Essential Education Attainments: Time served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician. Job Experience: Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC. Capable of reading wiring diagrams. Demonstrate experience of routing and connection of various cable types. Specialist Knowledge / Skills: Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques. Disposition: Good interpersonal skills. Willing to undertake or provide training as required. An awareness of general Health and Safety rules. Circumstances: Proven ability to be flexible, working overtime and changing shift patterns as required.
