Our client is a successful and well-established vehicle manufacturer, looking for Auto Electricians to join their team. Ideally, candidates will have electrical experience within the Automotive industry (not essential), but applications from skilled Electricians, Electrical Assemblers, Electrical Engineers, and other Electrical workers who want to be up-skilled to an Auto Electrician role are also welcome. They have an on-site Training Academy that all new employees go through to ensure they are up to speed with the duties required for the role.

This is a permanent role following the usual 3 months' probation.

Soldering experience Crimping experience Able to work with small tolerances of cabling down to 1mm Understanding and following instructions shown on technical drawings and schematics

NOTE: You may be tested on the above at the interview with a hands-on practical test.

Shift Pattern:

Earlies & Lates, weekly rotating shift pattern. 4 day week, Monday to Thursday:

Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 6.00am - 4.00pm (3.00pm finish on Thursdays) Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 1.00pm - 11.00pm (2.00pm start on Thursdays)

(During the Training Academy, you may be on a normal day shift until training is complete)

Salary Information:

Salary is between £12.50 - £15.50 per hour (depending on level of experience) + Overtime at time and a half (once trained).

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Installing electrical equipment to a range of vehicles on a production line. Electrical modifications to vehicle bodies to the highest achievable quality standard. Fabrication of wiring harnesses. Fabrication and installation of fuse boxes, boards and RCD circuits. Installation of battery management systems. Installation of CANbus systems. Fault finding and diagnostics. Installation of wiring harnesses. Installation of fuse boxes, boards and RCD circuits. Installation of subassemblies and subcontract components. Soldering, crimping, wiring looms.

Applicant Requirements:

You MUST have a Full UK Driving License with own transport (Car / Motorbike) due to the location of the company. Previous experience as an Auto Electrician / Electrician / Electrical Assembler / Electrical Engineer, ideally in the Automotive industry (not essential). Be able to follow specific build instructions, take detailed notes, and follow installation diagrams and schematics (this will be tested during the interview). Good communication skills, and be a team player with the ability to work and cooperate with colleagues.

This role would suit someone with experience in Auto Electrics; however, applications from other job roles will be considered, e.g., Electrical Assembler / Electrical Assembly Operative / Electrical Technician / Vehicle Assembler (Electrics) / Auto Engineer / Car Mechanic / Coach Builder / a job assembling or servicing vehicles like Coaches / Trucks / Buses / HGV / LGV / PSV / Motorhomes / Emergency / Military vehicles / Cars / Lorries / Vehicle conversions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
