Job Title: Automation and Controls Engineer Location: London Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday - Friday. Some weekend work required 9:00am to 1:00pm Saturday and Sunday with 2 days off in the week Contract/Permanent: Permanent Site Based/Office/Remote: Office and site based. Must be willing to travel to both sites in Barking and Wembley Start Date: ASAP Job Overview:

Our client is a global pioneer in the automated waste collection industry and the inventor of the cutting-edge pneumatic waste collection system. Driven by innovation and ingenuity, they are at the forefront of designing and implementing next-generation recycling solutions. You will work on projects through their complete lifecycle from concept to completion, configuring and developing PLC & SCADA software for a wide variety of applications. You will also produce specifications and design documentation, test and commission systems based at sites in Wembley and Barking. You must be flexible as this role will require you to travel overseas periodically. Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, lead and manage projects Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement control strategies to enhance efficiency. Interact with maintenance and production employees to resolve issues and identify opportunities. Provide technical guidance and support, training, and foster professional development with production and maintenance employees. Requirements/Experience/Skills:

Full UK driving license Experience of automation and control system project delivery, demonstrable experience of design, implementation, test and commissioning roles within a project team Previous experience in real-time control systems design and commissioning ideally in the utilities sector Solid ability with PLC software design SCADA software design ability essential Solid networking skills Ability to complete all documentation including FDS & FAT/SAT
