CK Group is recruiting for an experienced
Automation and Instrumentation Technician , to be primarily based on one of their client sites in Stevenage, on a permanent basis. This role is a key component of the technical services support team, tasked with supporting automated liquid handling and bench-top automation platforms, enabling minimal equipment downtime and maximal system utilisation. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with laboratory scientists to develop and optimise scientific protocols on automation platforms, ensuring optimal efficiency and performance. Developing, validating, and troubleshooting high-throughput automated workflows. Leveraging expertise to train equipment users on key concepts associated with automation platforms, supporting best-practice and mitigating avoidable run failures. Maintaining awareness of new developments in the field of Laboratory Automation. What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences, with 3+ years of experience servicing laboratory equipment. Alternatively, you may hold a Higher National Diploma in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences, with 4+ years of experience servicing laboratory equipment. A salary of approximately £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, reflects your value to our organisation.
