The Automation Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: HND or equivalent electrical engineering qualification or relevant discipline. At least 3 years’ automation experience. Good understanding of PLC software and programming languages. Good understanding of AC/DC drive systems, servo drives, and sensors. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Full UK driving license. The Automation Engineer’s duties will involve: Creating and developing software specifications. PLC programming and writing code from scratch. Ensuring health and safety regulations are met at all times. Attending site visits when required. Liaising with other departments to ensure requirements are met at all times.
