Your new role In your new role as an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering complete automation projects, including design, development, testing, and commissioning. You will manage the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to final handover. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, will be essential to ensure seamless integration of automated systems. Additionally, you will perform system upgrades and maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and minimise downtime. A willingness to travel is required for this role. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. At least three years of experience in delivering automation projects with a focus on software development. Proficiency in developing projects using Rockwell Automation or Siemens. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex control system issues. Knowledge of networking protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and Profibus. Familiarity with industrial communication systems. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
