Automation Design Engineer

About the Role

As an

Automation Design Engineer , you’ll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and enhancing production lines and equipment for the organisation. Your work will span the entire process from initial design and development to build, commissioning, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Design & Development:

Craft detailed designs using CAD software and ensure they’re optimised and feasible. Innovation:

Work with 3D CAD, industrial robots, Cobots, and even dabble in AI as you explore the latest in smart factory and Industry 4.0 technologies. Documentation:

Keep meticulous records of designs, modifications, and project progress. Project Costing:

Prepare project costings, including Bills of Materials (BOMs). Testing & Validation:

Ensure your designs are reliable and meet performance standards. Support:

Help troubleshoot and support existing equipment across the organisation's UK and global sites.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong background in mechanical engineering and a passion for innovation. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed: Knowledge & Experience:

A degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience in equipment design and development. Strong knowledge of 3D CAD and industrial automation processes.
