Social network you want to login/join with: What you’ll be doing As an Automation professional, the role involves delivering the E2E development and delivery of processes from planning and tracking of deliverables and ensuring stakeholders are regularly appraised of status and progress requirements analysis through to support of live processes. You will lead on driving automation initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, increase revenues and decrease costs and defining the standards across our automation capability, keeping up to date with BT Security policies and work in a way that ensures data protection by design. Work with the business - You will represent GBS by working closely with various cross-functional teams for automation and work end to end automation support & solutions covering requirements gathering, design, development, UAT, deployment and maintenance with their support. You will plan and track of deliverables and ensure stakeholders are regularly appraised of status and progress throughout. Learning new technologies – In a fast-moving technology space you will have the opportunity to use your experience in automation to learn new intelligent automation technologies then taking this knowledge you will train the new capabilities out to your team, defining BT's automation strategy going forward. Support our growth - You will lead on evolving our service to ensure we excel in meeting requirements, KPI’s, and customer satisfaction, through the maintenance of our live automations and leadership in taking forward ideas. You will also be supporting the delivery of new solutions including future technologies (AI etc) which may include managing third-party vendors. Live platform – You will ensure all code released into production is reviewed and meets the specified design standards set out by the CoE, leading on the control of releases into production, ensuring that all governance is followed and there is no impact to existing DB & live automations. The experience you’ll need: Experience with delivering robotic process automations. Experience and knowledge of project management in a structured environment. An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines. Ability to liaise with senior level stakeholder representatives in a rational and measured manner and to communicate project progress, issues, risks and solutions. An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error. Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation. Background in software delivery advantageous. A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, either on their own or as part of a team. The skills you’ll have: Design, build, testing and support of automations. An understanding of configuration/scripting type technologies, such as excel macros / c#. Quick learner (picking up skills on the job). Aptitude for problem solving and logical thinking. Customer Engagement/ Business Analysis. Robotic Process Automation (Blue Prism). Excel Macro / Access (VBA). R scripting. SQL scripting. Microsoft Technologies (.Net). Web Development. What's in it for you? What are the benefits?
