We are recruiting an Automation Team Leader to join our dynamic and innovative team at SSCL, driving the transformation of Defence Business Services. You will be responsible for a team of talented Cloud Infrastructure Engineers, providing technical design, implementation and support of infrastructure technologies to our Government and Defence clients.
This role will require travel into the Gosport office on a regular basis, for training or client needs. This role will also require on-call working.
What you'll be doing:
Managing a team of Cloud Infrastructure Engineers.
Evaluating hardware and software across server, network, storage, and desktop environments.
Ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are adhered to, escalating when necessary.
Accurately estimating task completion times and ensuring robust operational procedures.
What you’ll bring:
Demonstrable experience leading technical teams within infrastructure management.
Expertise in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and OCI.
Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
Strong documentation skills for both end-user and operational use.
Experience in customer support environments with a focus on business impact.
Must be eligible for DV clearance.
It would be great if you had:
Experience working with both Windows and Unix systems.
