The Automotive Electronics Component Repair Technician will be responsible for providing technical support within the workshop, repairing electronic components that are inside cars, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This role involves diagnosing and repairing products in cars such as connectivity modules, navigation systems, radios, and screen displays.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and verify the repair equipment for readiness at the start of each day. Diagnose faults and perform repairs based on provided guidance manuals. Review repair requests, confirm customer-reported defects, and validate them in the customer-nominated portal. Decide on warranty liability and assess the non-repairability of products when applicable. Update repair progress in the customer portal throughout the process. Implement additional preventative measures as needed. Identify and propose solutions for new or undefined faults to support continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Offer technical support to customers via email, phone, or on-site meetings when required. Monitor advancements in technology and ensure documentation is updated accordingly. Adhere to all quality and environmental standards in line with company policies.

Person Specification:

An Electronics or a related discipline. Proficiency in diagnosing, disassembling, and repairing electronic and mechanical components. Skilled in welding and using testing and control equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and instructions. Strong understanding of quality and environmental procedures. Minimum 2-3 years of electronic repair experience, ideally in the automotive industry, or equivalent technical education with relevant experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to transfer knowledge to team members.
