Are you a graduate Mechanical Engineer (or similar e.g. Automotive) interested in a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading manufacturer of niche vehicles as they look to expand their Research and Development team to secure a Mechatronics Engineer responsible for the design and implementation of mechanical systems into vehicle electrical and electronic architecture. Main Purpose of Mechanical Systems Engineer

Produce 3D CAD schemes and from them produce 2D CAD drawings to relevant ISO standards. Develop Systems to integrate mechanical systems into vehicle electrical architecture via CANBUS control. Design effective solutions enabling the application of our product range within the ever-changing vehicle market. Liaise with production personnel to achieve completion of production and prototype machines. Engage in the prototyping of new components, their evaluation and testing under representative conditions. Willing to travel within UK and overseas to facilitate application projects on occasion. Mechanical Systems Engineer Opportunity

This is an important role within our customer and carries responsibility for the application engineering of their existing and new product range onto a wide variety of vehicles. Do you have the required experience for the Mechanical Systems Engineer?

Mechanical engineering design experience. Experience of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Experience and knowledge of Electrical design. Knowledge of automotive electrics, electronics and CAN bus advantageous. Knowledge of mobile hydraulics and pneumatics advantageous.
