to join our talent pool for future opportunities across a range of Calex contracts within the Coventry, Milton Keynes, Daventry areas. Our manufacturer partners include brands like Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Peugeot, Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, and many more.

The ideal candidates will possess extensive automotive technical knowledge and a passion for developing others. Trainers will deliver hands-on and theoretical training to automotive technicians, dealership staff, or apprentices to enhance their skills and ensure that they are up to date with the latest technologies and industry standards.

Potential Responsibilities (Contract & Role dependent) could include:

Technical Training Delivery:

Conduct in-depth training sessions on automotive technologies, repair processes, diagnostics, and service procedures

Develop and deliver engaging and interactive theoretical and practical training content tailored to specific audiences (e.g., technicians, apprentices, dealership staff)

Provide both classroom instruction and hands-on, workshop-based training as required

Curriculum Development

Assist in designing and updating training materials, manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules

Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of clients or individual learner

Technical Expertise:

Stay updated on the latest advancements in automotive technologies, tools, and diagnostic techniques

Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as hybrid and electric vehicles, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), diagnostic equipment, and OEM-specific technologies

Assessment and Evaluation:

Evaluate trainee performance through written tests, practical assessments, and real-world troubleshooting exercises

Provide constructive feedback and coaching to participants, helping them achieve certification or improve their technical skills

Monitor the progress of trainees, ensuring all learning objectives are met

Collaboration and Support:

Work closely with clients, dealerships, and OEMs to understand their training needs and develop programs that align with their requirements

Support technical staff by offering post-training mentorship or technical assistance as needed

Collaborate with training managers, instructional designers, and other trainers to continuously improve training offerings

Adapt to different formats of training delivery, including in-person, virtual, or hybrid training sessions

About you:

Previous experience within an automotive setting technology, engineering, or a related field is highly desirable

Automotive certifications (ASE, IMI, City & Guilds, or manufacturer-specific certifications) are an advantage

Prior experience in a training or instructional role is advantageous

Experience with OEM training programs, diagnostics, and advanced automotive systems (e.g., hybrid, EV, ADAS)

Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and explaining automotive systems (mechanical, electrical, hybrid, and EV systems)

Knowledge of modern automotive diagnostic equipment and software

Ability to work with a variety of makes and models, including manufacturer-specific technologies

Strong presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner

Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills

Ability to adapt to different learning styles and adjust teaching methods accordingly

Additional Requirements:

Flexibility to travel based on contract needs

Proficiency in using online training platforms, learning management systems (LMS), and modern instructional technology

Valid driver's license and the ability to travel domestically or internationally for assignments if required
