(once a month travel to North West) We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to review and enhance our existing AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) Migration process. As the AVD Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating our current migration procedures, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to optimize the process. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration of virtual desktop environments while maintaining security, reliability, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct a comprehensive assessment of our existing AVD migration process, including documentation, tools, and workflows. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the current migration process and identify opportunities for enhancement. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline migration workflows through the use of scripting, automation tools, or third-party solutions. Ensure that all migration processes adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, including data protection, access control, and regulatory standards. Create comprehensive documentation for the updated migration process and provide training to relevant stakeholders to ensure proper understanding and execution. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Experience with

VDI technologies

such as AVD and Citrix, including image management, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of Citrix on Premise and Citrix Cloud. Experience with two or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Intune, Windows 365, roadmap,

Powershell , JSON scripting, Jira, Confluence, Miro, or Defender for Cloud. Relevant certifications such as

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty, Azure Administrator Associate, or similar credentials are a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a systematic approach to problem solving.
