Occupational Health Nurse Advisor - £46,148 - £52,809 (NHS Band 7) Avon and Somerset Police is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation dedicated to the well-being and productivity of their employees. To further enhance their commitment to employee health and well-being, they are seeking qualified Occupational Health Nurse Advisors to join the team. Position Overview As an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and maintaining the health and safety of their workforce. You will collaborate with employees, management, and stakeholders to implement effective occupational health programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of well-being within the organisation. This opportunity provides a hybrid working arrangement, requiring on-site work for a portion of your weekly schedule. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including pre-employment screenings and periodic health check-ups. Provide expert guidance on occupational health issues and support employees in managing their health conditions. Collaborate with HR, safety teams, and management to implement proactive measures for injury prevention and workplace health promotion. Develop and deliver wellbeing initiatives to enhance employee awareness and engagement. Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with regulatory requirements. Administer Hep B vaccination programmes. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Registered General Nurse and hold or be working towards a degree or diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health. Experience working as an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor is preferred. In-depth knowledge of occupational health regulations, standards, and best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
