Flexibility is also needed while working in the office. Purpose of the Job The D&AD Awards showcase the world’s best creative work across commercial design, advertising, production, and craft disciplines, judged by over 260 global creative leaders, practitioners, and innovators. Similarly, D&AD’s New Blood Awards attract thousands of entries from students and emerging creatives worldwide. As part of this role, your primary responsibility is to enhance customer satisfaction by confidently and efficiently addressing inquiries from our Awards entrants, showcasing excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, you'll play an active role in collecting precise and high-quality credits for the winning entries. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that these credits meet the rigorous standards required for publication. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world's best creative work and be a key player in the success of the D&AD Awards and D&AD New Blood Awards. We’re looking for four ambitious Awards Assistants to join our Awards and New Blood team on a temporary basis. It’ll be your job to help with customers’ enquiries and assist in collecting the credits for the winning pieces, making sure they are of the right and highest standard for publishing. Key Responsibilities Customer Enquiries Deal confidently and efficiently with incoming and outgoing entry queries, including dealing with entry queries via phone calls and emails, taking messages, and supporting the Awards and New Blood teams during busy periods. Provide a high level of customer service to entrants. Use the D&AD query database to log and resolve all queries. Ability to work with entrants, find out their needs and objectives, and offer support on entry. Assist the Business Development team in various aspects of the Awards Entry process, which involves coordinating with Awards entrants and liaising with the Business Development Representative. When required, assist the Business Development team to make outbound calls/emails to companies and individuals who may potentially enter the D&AD Awards. When required, make outbound calls to contact tutors and entrants with outstanding D&AD New Blood entries. Rankings and Credits Collection Work with the Operations lead to ensure our systems display up-to-date and correct credit information. Support the preparation of the D&AD Awards Rankings 2025. Check credits (individual and company names) to ensure they are accurate and free of errors. Cross-reference data to ensure there is a consistent structure across all entrant data. Liaise with winning companies regarding credits and media assets of their work, ensuring timely submission. Use the D&AD database to check and correct credits and images, addressing errors and inaccuracies. Proof winning credits to ensure the right information is populated against all winning entries. Contact agencies and studios where necessary to validate information. Research credits that are missing or have not been supplied by entrants. Other Duties If required, support other Production Assistants across the Professional or New Blood Awards during busy periods. Review winners’ information on the website to ensure accuracy and that all assets are correctly uploaded. Conduct quality checks on ceremony reels to confirm they are error-free and meet standards. Provide administrative support for the D&AD Awards Ceremony. Provide feedback to aid the review and development of all awards products. Complete additional administrative tasks as required. Key Experience and Skills Excellent proactive customer service skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work both independently and cohesively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and flexibility in work matters. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. Flexible approach to working hours, especially during our judging period. Computer literacy - highly proficient in G Suite and MS Office. Working knowledge of Adobe CC is desirable but not essential. Fluency in a second language would be a plus, ideally Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, or Mandarin. Previous experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) is desirable but not essential. Personal Qualities Comfortable working as part of a team. Strong research skills. Close attention to detail. Proven ability to be organised and attentive to details. Excited by the prospect of a diverse workload. Strong communication skills. Keen interest/knowledge of the creative design and advertising industries. Trustworthy and reliable. Sense of humour.
