What you’ll be doing: Working on projects that will have a positive impact on our customers and colleagues, adding real value to the business. Developing great personal and business skills, with support from mentors and highly experienced business leaders. Researching and preparing reports, presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels, in line with the placement objectives. We’re looking for curious, motivated, and enthusiastic degree students to join our paid summer internship programme. As an Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on business insight, helping you to develop key skills and experience. We have exciting and varied opportunities across our Commercial Insurance function.

Through this programme I discovered new career paths that I’m still on today.” Our Summer Intern opportunities: Distribution & Trading – Bolton:

Support the Commercial Branches in excellence programmes, including the Broker Segmentation Strategy, and delivery of the trading specific project aligned to 2028 strategy / growth aspirations. Risk & Governance – Bolton:

Assist with Customer Outcomes Testing activity and reporting, support for assurance alignment and input into team ways of working, processes and frameworks. Claims Supply Chain & Product Capability – Bolton:

Explore the application of AI in sourcing and managing the claims supply chain, as well as sourcing and overseeing use cases to deploy secure GPT into Claims with a key focus on customer requirements. You can find out more about our business and life at AXA by visiting our careers site

What you’ll bring: Currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree or have graduated within the last 12 months. Must be available for the full duration of the internship from mid-June to September 2025 on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) in one of the nominated locations listed above. Passion, creativity, with a growth mindset. Curiosity, like to challenge the status quo and ask questions. Desire to learn from some great experienced leaders. Appetite to develop a career in the insurance industry. Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously with resilience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Analytically minded with problem-solving skills. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. You’ll need to live within a commutable distance of your offered location. That way you’ll get to spend time with your team in person as well as virtually and get access to the right support networks internally to help you to succeed. Competitive annual salary of £24,000 - £25,207 dependent on location.
