The opportunity The purpose of the IT infrastructure team is to provide structure, control, and monitoring of the functions responsible for diverse technical operations which generally involve hardware, software, and networking in both physical and virtual environments. The main goal is to minimise downtime, maintain business productivity and optimise business processes with technology. Day to day duties Coordinate with the project manager at the earliest opportunity to identify IT requirements. Be the technical lead for the project delivery team. Project plan and take ownership of the IT stream within the project. Identify the necessary infrastructure change and create the necessary change requests. Provide technical assistance to the project delivery team as required. Escalate any potential issue to the management team. Implement required changes to system in line with the agreed deliverables. Coordinate with 3rd parties when required to give access to systems. Hand over any new systems or changes to BAU. Assist where required in the D&SA gate 2 and gate 3 process. What are we looking for? Practical working knowledge and understanding of a range of networking and connectivity to maintain a secure and performant network. Advanced experience and knowledge of operating relevant security practices, managing change processes, operating remotely and securely, Cloud and Cloud Services, and the importance of disaster recovery and how a disaster recovery plan works.
