We have an exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our therapy rehabilitation team based at Chester le Street Community Hospital for a 9 month maternity secondment. Applicants must be prepared to participate in a 6 day week service, covering bank holidays and Saturdays on a rota basis. Come and join this exciting development. This post is for a Band 5 Physiotherapist full time. The service will work over 6 days a week. The successful applicant will independently manage a caseload providing holistic, short term, goal-led intervention following a comprehensive assessment. These patients will present with a wide range of problems and will allow you to develop your knowledge. Opportunities to:

Develop skills in holistic assessing beyond the scope of your traditional Physiotherapy practice. Develop your supervisory, leadership and service development skills. Support assistant staff and help with their development. Lead and participate in peer support and in-service training. Work within a dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team. Person Specification

Ability to travel independently across Trust sites and the locality, and carry small items of equipment on a daily basis to fulfil the requirements of the post. Experience

Relevant experience in physical rehabilitation including recent general rehabilitation. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Evidence of communication skills within a wide variety of settings. Experience in working in a variety of settings. Special Skills & Knowledge

Up to date knowledge of professional practice and new research. An understanding of legal responsibilities within the profession. Able to present information, written and orally in a clear and logical manner. Ability to organise and prioritise. Ability to maintain high levels of concentration. Ability to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day and carry out concurrent activities. IT skills and an innovative approach to working life. Able to use own initiative appropriately to enhance service delivery. Presentational skills. Evidence of working across professional boundaries. Qualifications

BSc Physiotherapy or equivalent. State Registration. Continuing Professional Development Diary including evidence of reflective practice, training and clinical experience. Recognised relevant academic qualification. Member of CSP. An understanding of County Durham and Darlington NHS FT, its culture, strategic direction, achievements and NHS standing. Special Requirements

HCPC registered. Member of CSP. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
