An opportunity has arrived to work within one of our Safe Havens in Woking, Guildford, Epsom, Aldershot, and Redhill. This is a part-time position of 25 hours per week, with working hours from 18:00-23:00hrs, 5 days a week. The service is open 7 days a week, and you will have the opportunity to choose which days you prefer to work. This is an excellent opportunity to provide short-term intervention for individuals in crisis out of hours and those looking for a safe and supportive space to reduce further deterioration in mental state. Safe Havens also support people referred by the Single Point of Access for crisis support. The successful candidate will be able to make referrals to appropriate services such as Home Treatment Teams, CMHRS, and other services. Our Safe Havens work collaboratively with other emergency services, such as Police and Ambulance services. While on shift as a qualified nurse, you will be supported by 2 support workers from our partners, Catalyst. Qualified nurses (NMC) are currently benefiting from a Retention Allowance, which is a 10% pay uplift on top of a 5% HCAS Fringe payment. This 10% retention allowance is subject to a minimum total payment of £3,293 and a maximum total payment of £3,613 per annum. This will be paid on a monthly basis and pro-rata'd to hours worked. Main Duties of the Job

Embody the visions and values of Surrey & Borders Partnership Foundation NHS Trust. Adhere to the code of practice/conduct of your registering body at all times. Discharge professional responsibilities under the Mental Health Act (1983) and the revised subsequent act, Mental Capacity Act (2005), and the NMC Professional Code of Conduct. Be accountable and responsible for your own practice. Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based programmes of care; set standards of care and liaise with other agencies, particularly regarding individuals discharged under the Care Programme Approach. Participate in the multi-disciplinary assessment of individuals with mental health problems or vulnerabilities living in the community, providing a community mental health perspective and expertise. Qualifications

A professional mental health qualification e.g. RMN, Occupational Therapist, Social Work Degree, or equivalent Clinical Supervision qualification. Professional Registration RMN, OT, Social Worker. Experience

Substantive post-qualification experience working as a mental health nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker. Experience of working in the community. Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust £39,205 to £47,084 a year incl. 5% Fringe HCAS, per annum, pro rata for part-time.
