MATERNITY COVER POSITION - Are you an experienced baby room practitioner aspiring to become a Baby Room Leader OR an experienced Baby Room Leader looking for a new role? We have a job opportunity for a part-time Baby Room Leader to start from early to mid-February 2025, based in the baby room (3 months to 2 years old). Qualifications: The official qualification needed for this role is a fully relevant Level 3 or above qualification in childcare. You will need to be dynamic, have the ability to lead part of a team, and manage your day effectively to ensure the smooth running of your nursery room. Previous experience working with children and babies is essential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team and work closely with the Nursery Manager, the management team, and the Directors. The nursery has an excellent reputation, and we aim to maintain the high standards it has already been accredited for, having received ‘Good in all areas’ in our last Ofsted inspection. The nursery team is working hard to strive for outstanding in the next inspection. We would love you to join our team as we embark on accreditation to 'The Curiosity Approach', promoting awe and wonder in early childhood. This is a unique style of learning for children to engage in the joy of DOING rather than focusing solely on the end result. You will be someone who is mature, experienced, and focused on delivering excellent standards of care, with a natural ability to motivate and lead a team and a willingness to go above and beyond. £25,688 per annum - pro rata for part-time Hours:

Contracted to work 19 hours per week between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. Essential Requirements: At least one year of Baby Room experience DBS certificate/Clean criminal record - signed up to the renewal service Basic Food Hygiene Certificate Paediatric First Aid certificate Safeguarding children certificate Full Level 3 or above Childcare qualification - must have already achieved their level 3 qualification We are also looking for someone who: Is a positive role model to our children and team Desires to work for a company that respects individuality and creativity Wants to join a nursery that maintains an independent feel Has strong EYFS knowledge Can lead a dedicated team of practitioners and challenge their practice and environment Will oversee the learning and development in your room and ensure it's at a brilliant standard Can think one step ahead of the routine and communicate effectively to the team Has a warm smile that makes every child feel special Is comfortable with humor and playfulness Enjoys being outdoors in all weather If the above sounds like you, and you think you fit the criteria, we would love to hear from you!
