Backend Developer (Node.js) We’re partnering with a growing scale-up FinTech that is transforming the way financial transactions are handled. Following a major acquisition, they are evolving from a hardware provider into a fully integrated, end-to-end payments platform, offering both cutting-edge payment devices and a seamless cloud-based management system. This is a huge growth phase for the company, and they’re looking for a talented backend developer to play a key role in building scalable, high-performance backend services that power the next generation of digital payments. If you’re a Node.js engineer looking for a high-impact role in a rapidly expanding business, this is your chance to join a dynamic, agile team, contribute to cutting-edge solutions, and be at the forefront of the FinTech revolution. This is an opportunity to do truly impactful work. The company is moving beyond hardware to a fully integrated FinTech solution, combining payment devices, cloud management, and a secure payment gateway. With rapid expansion following their acquisition, there is significant room for career growth and exposure to large-scale systems. You will work with an innovative tech stack that includes Node.js, microservices, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, building and optimising high-performance systems that drive seamless financial transactions. Responsibilities: Develop and optimise backend services to ensure they are secure, scalable, and high-performing. Build RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications and third-party services. Work on cloud-based infrastructure to support a global payments system. Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployments. Contribute to system architecture discussions, playing a role in shaping the company’s transition to a fully integrated payments ecosystem. Troubleshoot complex issues, maintain high system availability, and continually enhance performance, reliability, and scalability. What We’re Looking For: Two or more years of hands-on backend development experience in Node.js. Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and high-performance query optimisation. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, and monitoring/debugging tools. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. If you are looking for a chance to work in an innovative FinTech environment, take ownership of impactful projects, and grow within a rapidly expanding company, this is your opportunity. Apply now to be a key part of this exciting transformation.
