3 stages The Role: Leo Technology is collaborating with one of London's most exciting start-ups in their search for a Backend Engineer! Founded in 2018 with a mission to make it easier for students to earn money on the side of their studies, they've grown to over 250 staff and have helped over a quarter of a million students into work! Due to ongoing organic growth, they're urgently looking for a talented Backend Developer to join the team. We're looking for an Engineer with experience working with Python who values development best practices and has experience in a fast-paced startup environment. This role focuses on technical excellence while prioritizing the agility needed to drive the company's growth. Initially, the successful candidate will work on a single code-base, but there will be opportunities to contribute to all areas of their tech-stack as the business expands. You'll be responsible for maintaining and monitoring their existing product to ensure customers receive the experience they signed up for, with opportunities to get involved in new product releases as the client base continues to grow! The Person: 4+ years experience working as a Python Developer is essential Exposure to Flutter / Dart is highly desirable Experience with Kubernetes, GraphQL, and Django Excellent communication skills Previous experience in a fast-paced start-up is highly desirable Product-driven thinking Able to work a minimum of 4 days per week in Camden offices Interview Process: 1st stage - Coding exercise 2nd stage - Technical interview with Founding Engineer (video) 3rd stage - Meeting with CEO (in person) Important Notice: Both Leo Technology and the companies we partner with are passionate about building environments where people from all backgrounds are embraced.
