Salary: Starting from £35,802 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

    \n
  • To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environment
  • \n
  • Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to endure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner
  • \n
  • Instruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competency
  • \n
  • Responsible for research, review & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard
  • \n
  • Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation
  • \n
  • Accountable for your own actions
  • \n
  • Responsible for self-development and attending any mandatory training requirements
  • \n
  • To represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements
  • \n
  • Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation
  • \n
  • Demonstrates and awareness of product knowledge
  • \n

Your skills and experiences:

\n
    \n
  • Ability to provide technical knowledge to emergent incidents
  • \n
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft packages & company specific software
  • \n
  • Previous Strategic Weapons System knowledge
  • \n
  • Control of works (Safety) knowledge
  • \n
  • Testing & Commissioning air & fluid pipework systems, e.g. air, water. Hydraulics & nitrogen which support the Missile Tubes
  • \n
  • Ability to conduct Mechanical System inspections and approve documentation
  • \n
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in related discipline or STEM subject
  • \n

The Commissioning SWO team:

\n

As a Senior Commissioning Engineer – SWO, you will be testing mechanical elements of the launcher & SWSS equipment, Fluid & Air systems, Nitrogen, Water and Hydraulics etc and you will also have the opportunity to support at sea trials.

\n

The role will provide you with the opportunity of working on Strategic Weapon Systems which is a specialist area with unique design and challenges. You will be working closely with US contractors and Government with the chance of travel to the US. We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
