In a nutshell

As a Baggage Tracing & EC Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless travel experience for our customers by managing and resolving issues related to lost or mishandled baggage.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for coordinating the search and retrieval process, liaising with various stakeholders, and providing timely and accurate updates to both internal teams and customers. You will take ownership of our high value customers and the more complex tracing where cases exceed the 'normal' timeframe. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with the processing of complex EC261 and Baggage Claims when needed.

Day to day

Use tracking systems to locate and resolve lost or mishandled baggage swiftly while investigating root causes to prevent future issues. Keep customers informed with clear updates, addressing inquiries and concerns throughout the tracing process. Work closely with airport teams, ground services, and external partners to ensure efficient baggage retrieval and delivery. Stay up to date with industry regulations, process EC261 compensation claims, and maintain accurate records to support policy adherence.

About you

Proven ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams through strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities by thoroughly analysing complex issues and determining appropriate solutions. A strong dedication to providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience during challenging situations. Precision and attention to detail are crucial for accurately documenting and tracking baggage tracing activities. Ability to collaborate effectively with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members to achieve common goals. Adaptability to changing situations and a fast-paced environment is essential. Familiarity with baggage handling procedures and industry regulations is desirable.
