Applications are invited from experienced Healthcare Assistants with specific experience in Acute Mental Health to join the Acute Inpatient team on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. The Unit is the only Acute Inpatient facility on the island of Guernsey, for patients experiencing severe symptoms requiring a period of inpatient stay. The Unit aims to; provide care in the least restrictive environment, reduce service users' vulnerability to crisis and maximise their resilience and minimise the length of hospital admission by facilitating early discharge with active involvement in discharge planning.

Please note: Staff Accommodation is not be available for this role, although there is a housing permit and option for private rented accommodation available but applicants should research the cost of private rented accommodation on Guernsey before applying. Employer sponsorship is not offered with this post and if not a UK or Irish national you must hold unrestricted and non time-limited leave to remain in the UK to be considered for this post.

Guernsey has adopted the NHS AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scales. The Guernsey Band 3 salary range from 1stJan is £27,950 to £30,926 plus an annual bonus of £1,605and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 40% evening/Saturday and 80% Sunday/BH.

The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000.

It has some of Britain's finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St.

Peter's Port, the island's capital.

The States of Guernsey delivers a diverse range of healthcare services within the hospital, and supporting people in the wider community.

All of this is reliant on the excellent calibre of healthcare staff recruited to a very high standard.

Person requirements: At least 2 years relevant experience in an Acute Mental Health

setting.

Completion of NVQ3 or equivalent qualification Passionate about working with Acute Mental Health The desire to work in a team and organisation committed to delivering high quality care Independent and non time-limited leave to remain in the UK (not requiring employer sponsorship)
