Clinical Research Assistant Hepatology Research Band 4
30 hours/week 12-month Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a nursing assistant/nursing associate with a clear expression of interest in clinical research.
The post holder will be mentored and line managed by one of the Senior Research Nurses in hepatology and will support a busy combination of academic NIHR portfolio adopted studies together with commercial trials.
You will have the opportunity to develop as a key member of a thriving multi-disciplinary research team.
You will need to be adaptable, confident and able to prioritise a combination of diverse demands on your time and be able to work within a team. This is an exciting opportunity for a nursing assistant/associate to develop their skills and advance in a rewarding career in clinical research.

Educational and Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
GCSE English and Mathematics grade C or above (or its equivalent). NVQ level 3 or equivalent or Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Desirable criteria ICH GCP training. Experience
Essential criteria Recent experience of working in healthcare. Recent experience of dealing with the public on a regular basis. Understanding of Patient Administration Systems/Electronic Patient Records. Understanding of patient and data confidentiality procedures. Desirable criteria Recent experience of working in a research environment. Skills and aptitudes
Essential criteria Excellent interpersonal skills. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Competent in phlebotomy and cannulation. IT skills including Word and Excel, Internet, email.
