Role Overview: As a Band 5 Midwife you will play a crucial role in supporting mothers throughout the birth of their children, provide antenatal, intranatal and postnatal care to all women during their in-patient stay. Offering comprehensive health education, social care, and advice to women and their families, collaborating with multi-disciplinary and agency groups. Key Responsibilities: You will lead the care for low-risk women, promoting normal birthing processes, and work collaboratively with colleagues to support women with complex needs Respecting women’s informed decisions, planning and delivering evidence-based care, and advocating for women and their families Competently use medical devices, monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing, and uphold care standards in various settings Postnatal care, pain management, performing procedures, and supporting breastfeeding are essential, along with providing bereavement care and managing care transfers You will engage in on-call duties, develop postnatal care programs, and participate in training and professional development Compliance with all midwifery and nursing procedures Requirements for this role: Registered midwife on part 2 of the NMC professional register qualified At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the Midwifery Sector Completion of pre or post registration midwifery programme Excellent communication and teamwork skills - effective advocate for women Benefits include: Fantastic benefits package, with all the perks working in the NHS and some new additions Comprehensive Health and Wellbeing package Commitment to continuous learning and development – with plenty of opportunities to support this A fantastic opportunity for experienced midwifes, where you can continue to grow and develop your skills, in a truly rewarding role – this is not to be missed out on!
